DeVonda Manning a North Carolina native, had aspirations of owning and operating her own wedding/event planning business.

DeVonda has always had a strong passion for weddings but her desire to one day start her own company came as she was a guest at a wedding and couldn't help but constantly think of all the things she would have handle differently so the day could run more smoothly.
DeVonda developed an eye for design early in life. She fell in love with colors, textures, and compositions as she watched her mother sell home interiors and decorate her home repeatedly room after room. Her mother would eventually have her involved as well.
Looking for a way to marry her design and planning skills, she decided to open her own event planning company. In July 2010, DeVonda even planned her own 200 person affair.
DeVonda Manning has over 10 years of experience in "Corporate America" in the Finance field which puts SimplyLavish Weddings & Events a step ahead in assisting clients with their budgets and contracts. DeVonda has her B.B.A. degree in Finance. She achieved her wedding planning & interior design certification from Sheffield College of New York. DeVonda is currently obtaining re-certification from the esteemed, Association of Bridal Consultants.
